nyc based producer, songwriter, music video writer/director/editor
connor elmwood
I produce and write emotionally visceral, stab-wound folk/indie/alternative rock and visuals from the ground up, heavily inspired by traditional American folk aesthetics through a hopeful leftist outlook. I specialize in songwriting, mixing, mastering, music video writing/directing/editing, currenty studying at the Clive Davis Institute at NYU.
Connor Elmwood is the same shoulder to hang on to, from the writer’s room to your release party.

my services!
songwriting
songwriting is my first love, and i treat it as such. i’m a firm believer in ensuring a song is solid before we record into a DAW. i love all instruments (banjo, e-bow, clarinet as of recent). new melodic and harmonic opportunities freak me out (in a good way).
music production
i naturally gravitate towards intentional recording techniques and minimalism in composition. i’m proficient in all DAWs, but my daily drivers are Logic Pro and Pro Tools.
music videos
as a former nyu film student and synesthesia enjoyer, music comes to me visually first. it can look like a shape, a color, a scene, a person; bringing those images on screen is what really excites me.

RAISED BY A TRUE MUSIC NERD,
Connor Elmwood grew up just in San Diego listening to the likes of Wilco, Jeff Buckley, Radiohead, Lucinda Williams, Joni Mitchell, and more. Developing a deep fascination with acoustic guitar, he began experimenting writing, recording, mixing and releasing his own records in his bedroom. He’s expanded on his musical upbringing with personal influences like Elliott Smith, Skullcrusher, Wednesday, and Sufjan Stevens.
